The Wheel has launched a new programme to assist community, voluntary and charity organisations to learn more about joint working arrangements and mergers.
The Collaborate to Innovate Project involves a series of free half-day seminars to introduce the concept of collaborative working. It will also provide a number organisations with specific consulting supports over a four-month timeframe to bring joint projects to life.
We will be hosting a free seminar in the Clarion Hotel, Cork on Tuesday, 18 January 2011, and we would be very grateful if you could alert community and voluntary groups in your region by forwarding the following information to them via email, in your newsletter or on Twitter and Facebook:

Have you considered collaborating with other organisations to reduce your costs? If so, you may be interested in participating in Collaborate to Innovate, a unique programme developed by The Wheel to help community and voluntary organisations explore collaborative working arrangements and mergers.
The programme involves a free half-day seminar to introduce you to the concept of collaborative working. The seminar will provide an overview of joint ventures and mergers, and we will explore at a few success stories and the potential pitfalls.
You are invited to attend the seminar in the Clarion Hotel, Cork next Tuesday, 18 January 2011. This is your opportunity to find out if collaborative working, or a merger, could benefit your organisation.
You are also invited to apply for the second phase of the programme. During this phase, a selected number of organisations will be offered free consulting (supports over a four-month period) to bring their collaborations or mergers to life. Your organisation can apply for this programme whether you attend the seminar or not; however, there will be a lot of information & guidance about the programme provided at the seminar. The seminar is free, but registration is essential.
