The Irish Centre of the CIWM is organising a very interesting day out focussed on waste prevention and recycling on 27th January 2011. The day will involve a visit to the Ballymun Rediscovery Centre, where innovative waste-to-resource projects include rediscover business, rediscover compost, rediscover fashion, rediscover furniture and rediscover paint. This will be followed by a visit to the nearby IKEA store, where you will see and hear about the company's environmental and sustainability initiatives including waste prevention, recycling, rainwater harvesting, green energy and sustainable transport.
At a cost of just €30 for members and €50 for non-members, the event represents great value in these tough times.
