This free evening seminar and workshop with follow-up mentoring will equip individuals and community groups with basic information tools to enable them to initiate community environmental audits and develop a pathway towards sustainability.
With many challenges of how to progress communities towards sustainable lifestyles and resilient communities participants will explore ways to nurture community leadership in sustainability and support a strategic shift towards global citizens.
Who should attend?
Individuals and groups who have been  looking at their energy situation and are interested in developing aspects of well being and improvements through adaptation of environmental enhancement and energy conservation / efficiency.
What will be covered?
Those in attendance will have an opportunity to explore:
·         Environmental auditing
·         Waste reduction 
·         Turning waste into energy as a pathway to energy self-sufficiency
·         Powerdown - a ten modular programme to build capacity for active citizenship at a local level and an awareness of responsibilities as global citizens.  
·         Case studies of eco-village models and ecological projects as sustainable opportunities.
·          Future training opportunities and follow up mentoring available for those who wish to progress their ideas to the next level.
