The CIWM (Chartered Institution of Waste Management) will host a seminar at the Horse and Jockey Hotel near Thurles Co Tipperary on Thursday 28th April 2011.
This event will include;
- a themed open meeting entitled "Biodegradable Waste Treatment in Ireland – A review of progress to date in achieving Irelands targets"
- a field tour to the In-Vessel Compost Facility of Acorn Recycling in Littleton
- a visit to rx3 commissioned field crop trials of spring barley grown using compost and digestate.
The new Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government, Mr Phil Hogan, TD will open and address the conference.
