Teagasc Bioenergy Crop Open Day - Growing Opportunities for Irish Farmers
Thursday June 23rd, 9am – 2pm
This free event is centred on Teagasc bioenergy research and will focus on the technical aspects of growing and utilising bioenergy resources, particularly Miscanthus and SRC Willow. The event will also cover the Bioenergy Scheme which provides grants towards the cost of planting and establishment and Anaerobic Digestion biogas together with viewing the boilers combusting wood chip, grain and miscanthus.
Come and see the crops growing, handle the wood chip and pellets and see the crop moving from the field to the furnace.
This half day event will run from 9am - 2pm and will be followed by the Tillage Crops Open Day.
