Dear all
We are coming up to the first anniversary of the first Transition Cork City meeting (Feb 16) so I thought a mini newsletter might be in order to let you all know whats going on...
So that's all for now. Would love to hear from you if you'd like to get involved in some way. Stay tuned for further events over the coming months.

Secretary, Transition Cork City
We are coming up to the first anniversary of the first Transition Cork City meeting (Feb 16) so I thought a mini newsletter might be in order to let you all know whats going on...
- We have started Food Group and Energy Group meetings on a pretty regular basis. Also we have a contact person if you're interested in Alternative Finance/Economics and/or Hearts and Minds/Outreach/Communications. If you're interested in any of these issues please email this address and I can provide you with the relevant contact person.
- Our Facebook page gets updated pretty often and is a good place to find out what's going on - or you can post to it yourself also. So if you're on Facebook this is the link http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/pages/Transition-Cork-City/109748592432487 Remember to hit 'Like' so you'll get updates in your news feed.
- We have a regular 'View and Vent' night - usually a film screening followed by discussion. The next one is February 22 at 7 pm. http://www.homethemovie.org/
- We've also set up a Wild Food Map on Google Maps. Here you can mark and find out about places around the city and surrounds where wild food and free food can be found.
- Several Transition Cork City people were at a great film screening last night at UCC. Its about localisation as a solution to the problems of globalisation. Check out the website of the film and if you get a chance to see it - do! www.theeconomicsofhappiness.org They have a good page called 'Get Active' http://www.theeconomicsofhappiness.org/get-active-what-we-can-do
So that's all for now. Would love to hear from you if you'd like to get involved in some way. Stay tuned for further events over the coming months.
