This practical ORGANIC COMMERCIAL HORTICULTURE course could be the one for you!! This unique course will take you right through the growing season and enable participants to set up a market garden that will supply a farmers market, restaurant or box scheme all year round. This course also meets the requirements for new applicants to the Organic Farming Scheme and comes with FETAC Level 5 accreditation in Organic Horticulture.
The course is led by JASON HORNER (Organic Consultant and a Commercial Grower for over 15 years) and takes place at the Nano Nagle Centre, which is a fully certified organic farm approximately 6 miles outside Mallow, Co Cork.
This course will be held fortnightly starting:
Monday, February 21st 2011 (10am—4.30pm) and finishing Monday, 24th October 2011
DURATION: 18 DAYS, every 2nd Monday, Bank holidays exempt.
COST: €650 (includes lunch) €50 Refund if course is paid in full
This course is FREE for those in receipt of Social Welfare Payment, those with a Medical/GP only card and Early School Leavers. No Training Allowance is paid. Attending this course will NOT affect your Social Welfare payments.
