SECAD Community Training Programme

Hi all,  this is a reminder that the 3rd SECAD Community Training Session is on Tuesday night, 1st February starting at 7.00 and finishing at 9.00 pm.  The focus will be on:  Group Dynamics in Community Organisations & Community Groups.

[Background: It is inevitable that groups and organisations face challenges as they evolve and develop.  It is also true that one of the challenges that groups face is ensuring that everyone in the group has a chance to participate and contribute as they wish to the overall group objectives.  Sometimes, if things are out of kilter, the group doesn't function as well as it might and this affects people in different ways.  It can also affect how the group achieves its objectives.

The session will focus on the realities and practicalities that groups and organisations face and how to deal with issues and situations that arise.  We will ask you to work on some practical examples and work our way towards solutions as well as preparing yourselves for the future.]

The venue is:  FACT (Family Resource Centre), Village Centre, Ballincollig.

Directions:  Ballincollig – drive through Ballincollig's main street from the city end.  You will see AIB bank on a corner on the right and prepare to slow down, you'll see the new Shopping centre on your left (Dunne's Stores etc.).  Immediately opposite Dunne's is a left turn with the Ulster Bank on the corner, pedestrian and street traffic lights.  Take the turn left at the Ulster Bank.  Then immediately on right is a car park.  The Family Resource Centre (FACT) is in the building in the car park on the ground floor beside the library.  Enter through double doors, walk through hallway turning towards your left– the meeting room will be inside another set of doors.

If you have any problems, please call me on my mobile: 087 295 8638.

We look forward to seeing you there!  If you know of others in the SECAD area who would like to come along, please mention this to them.  There is no cost as the Training is subsidised by SECAD.

[Note this is No. 3 in a series of Community Training Sessions organised by SECAD.  The next session – Finances & Funding is on 8th February also at FACT at 7.00 pm]

Kind regards – Rita Kearney, Trainer, on behalf of SECAD Ltd.
