The Rose Hive Method- Challenging Conventional Beekeeping

Our Featured Book this season is this new book by local author Tim Rowe on a natural approach to beekeeping that he is using with great success in his own 100 or so hives. Based in Bantry, Tim has been using the Rose Hive Method for some time and his book is a really clear and fascinating guide to the approach which he finds encourages healthier hives by placing less stress on the bees than conventional beekeeping methods. You can find more details via the link above and can read more about Tim's work on his website : http://www.rosebeehives.com/ . I am delighted to be able to make this timely book available and to celebrate the relaunch of WalnutBooks.com it will be on sale at the discounted price of €15.00 until December 10th!

Other new books I am quite pleased to introduce include :

Ben Law's latest: Roundwood Timber Framing

Two new books in The Transition Series:  Communities, Councils & A Low Carbon Future

and  Local Sustainable Homes - how to make them happen in your community

As well as this excellent book on extending the growing season: How to Grow Food in Your Polytunnel All Year Round

You will find these and lots of other books on walnutbooks.com and as always we welcome your feedback on your experience of using the site as well as your thoughts on books you have found useful.

Walnut Books donates a portion of the price of every book sold on our website to EcoLibris, so for every book bought one tree gets planted! Further details here
