Laurence Kemball-Cook Founder of Pavegen Systems Ltd. www.pavegen.co.uk

Pavegen Systems create flexible paving slabs that generate energy from people's footsteps to power pedestrian lighting. Laurence is an industrial design engineer and innovator with primary focus on sustainable products for the built environment.

Two workshops are being hosted by the Cleantech Network in conjunction with the Environmental Sciences Association of Ireland (ESAI) on sustainability and water, with CIWM and Cré organising the waste workshops.

Cleantech network seeks to assist companies by providing a marketing brand at home and abroad. As well as increasing environmental awareness and driving green procurement as a tool for increasing growth, prosperity and hope for the future. We will be providing a platform for our members to showcase their innovative products as well as highlighting the urgency in acting now to consume less but do more.

The sustainability project Eco10 will be launched at the show. Eco10 is creating a passive community by reducing the ecological footprint by a minimum of 10% in a domestic environment. The artist Anna Nielsen (http://www.annanielsen.com/Prints/prints.aspx?pid=1 has been commissioned to provide the vision and the words to our vision and the Eco10 artwork will be exhibited for the first time at the Gala dinner at the Thomas Prior Hall, Bewleys Hotel, Ballsbridge on Tuesday 13th October 2010 and there will be a charity auction of one-off prints signed by the artist herself.
