Transition to a Sustainable Energy Future - Empowering Rural Communities in Ireland

Sustainable energy is a hot and fast moving topic. Across the globe and here in
Ireland, communities are mobilising themselves to move away from our fossil fuels
dependency by undertaking energy efficiency and renewable energy programmes. This
conference will address key challenges rural communities are facing in their transition
to a sustainable energy future, and look at ways to maximise natural opportunities to
overcome them. The conference proposes an exceptional panel of speakers who will
share their know-how and relate the experience of the communities they are working
with. It will be followed by a forum where Sustainable Clonakilty's Renewable Energy
Roadmap study will be presented and debated.
The event will be part of a week-long Energy Festival organised by Sustainable Clonakilty, see
