Let's talk about Cycling - Invitation to Cork Cycling Advocacy Meeting 21/07/2008

In the last week of July, there will be the first ever Cycling Arts Festival taking place in Cork (21-27/07/2008) with lots of activities on and around two wheels, celebrating the bicycle culture in Cork.

The festival will be opened by the "Cycling Advocacy Meeting", a public debate event about cycling in Cork, organised by Cork Cycling Campaign and UCC and supported by Cork City Council, Trendy Travel European Project and Intelligent Energy Europe Programme

The meeting will be on Monday evening, 21st July, 6-8pm in University College Cork (O'Rahilly Building, room 212), followed by light refreshments.

The O'Rahilly Building is situated on the Main Campus on College Road, between the Honan Chapel and the Boole Library.

The Cycling Advocacy Meeting's target audience will be local community representatives, members of the general public who cycle, who want to cycle or who simply want to learn more about the cycling experience in Cork, along with experts from various fields related to cycling in a widest sense.
All are welcome to meet and debate with local and international experts on cycling in Cork.

We would be obliged if you would attend the meeting and contribute your personal, professional or your organisation's views on and experiences with cycling and ideas how cycling can be further facilitated as a sustainable means of transport in and around Cork.

Please find the detailed programme (and contacts) attached, and feel free to pass the word in your organisation or community.
