WILDFOOD WALK
The Cork Branch of the Irish Wildlife Trust are organising a Wildfood Walk on the
22nd August, meeting at 11.30am at the Innisleena Recreation Area Car Park.
The event is led by Nikki Darrell who will identify wildfoods that can be found in
local hedgerows. Nikki will also explain how wildfoods can be used sustainably.
This event is part of the National Heritage Week. Bring a picnic if you wish
and weather permitting. There is a picnic area nearby. The area is easily
accessible. There is no charge but any donations will be gratefully received.
The Cork Branch also offer a free email list which gives local information on wildlife
events and issues.
