The Irish Environmental History Network is pleased to announce that
its next meeting will feature a talk by Dr. R. Linden Kay of the UK's
National Environmental Research Council (NERC), on "Infrastructure for
Collaborative Environmental Research".
NERC is the UK's main agency for funding and managing research,
training and knowledge exchange in the environmental sciences, and
coordinates some of the world's most exciting research projects,
tackling major issues such as climate change and environmental
influences on human health. More information about NERC, including a
short introductory video, can be found at the link below.

Linden is particularly interested in promoting collaboration between
Ireland and the UK through NERC, and the meeting is open to anyone
interested in attending. It is to be held in Trinity College, the Arts
Block, Floor 6, in the IIIS room, Thursday May 13th, from 4pm. There
is slight uncertainty about this date and time thanks to the Icelandic
volcano, but the date and time will be confirmed on the 12th.
