Cork and Kerry Transition Gathering

Plans are progressing for our Cork/Kerry Transition/Sustainability Gathering. Our committee of volunteers, Matt Mills, Caz Jeffreys & Jeannie Timony and Klaus Harvey had a meeting last Friday to move to process forward.

Just to remind ourselves, it's at Russagh Mill Hostel, Skibbereen, Friday 19th - Sunday 21st February. Beds are 15 euro per night, 20 euro for 2 nights. There is also a cost of 100 euro for heating which will be divided between group members. There may be other costs for extra food and workshop bits and bobs for which will be seeking donations. Meals will be 'bring food to share' and carpooling will be encouraged.

We intend to kick off at around 6pm on the Friday, so if you can make it then, we'll see you for an evening meal. We'll aim to get there by 4-5pm to get things ready.

For bookings and beds please email Caz at: cazjeffreys@gmail.com by Friday 5th February.

We haven't fixed an agenda yet as we're open to suggestions, but so far these are the activities we hope to facilitate:
Session on Visioning (Open Space Technology/World Cafe)
Session on Funding
Nature Walk
Games and fun stuff

If there is an interest in exploring local currencies we can round up a couple of experts for that topic. If you have any suggestions for activities email klausharvey@gmail.com or Matt matt@sustainwestcork.com.

We also hope to have some yoga/meditation and please bring your musical instruments for a music session(s). We'll aim to wrap up around 4pm on Sunday.

I hope that gives you an idea of what to expect, so get your booking in asap, but by Friday 5th February at the latest.
