Future West Cork is an ambitious project that intends to bring West Cork people together, harnessing their ideas and resources to create a preferred vision for the region. Whilst there is a tremendous amount of work being done at many levels to increase prosperity in West Cork – imagine what could be achieved if all that energy was being channelled toward a shared future vision - a common, clearly identified goal. These are important events and we would ask you to attend.

The workshops will be facilitated by internationally renowned Community and Economic Development Consultant David Beurle and Juliet Fox – both of Future IQ Partners. The workshops will provide a forum for discussion and debate, led by David and Juliet, about the actions we can take today that will have a positive impact on the future progression of West Cork as well as challenging many of our existing behaviours.
Previous workshops (West Cork: A 2030 Vision) have largely had the aims of: encouraging people to consider the effect that actions that they, or their organisation, take for the short term have on their longer term goals; the benefits of adopting a collective regional vision and; establishing a context for the rolling out of a future planning process – Future West Cork - on a regional scale. Further information on these workshops are available here. The greater the level of community engagement in this process the more powerful the outcomes can be.
