Dr Fran Giaquinto presents 'Woodland Life under the  Microscope' on Saturday 29 Oct at Tuamgraney Woodland Wildlife Park (near  Scariff, Co.Clare) - meet 9.45am opposite Tuamgraney Heritage Centre.   Bring wellies, waterproofs, clean plastic containers.  We will collect  samples of microscopic plant and animal life from the woodland then go to East  Clare Community Coop premises in Scariff to look at them under high-power  microscope with projector screen.  After lunch (arrange your own - good  snacks available in Coop Cafe) we will do more study and identification and  also look at things in Scariff Community Garden.  Promises to be an  interesting day - cost just 40 euro (concessions available) - subsidised by EU  LEADER rural development programme.  More info on  website.
