On Sunday the 17th of April at 1pm, Sonairte in Laytown Co. Meath, will be celebrating the grand opening of Co. Meath's first Master Compost Demonstration Site and everyone is welcome to join the festivities. The demonstration site, which includes examples of wormeries, tumblers, compost bins, food digester, pallet composting and leaf mould, was built last October by Master Composter volunteers from all over Co. Meath as part of the Stop Food Waste initiative supported by Meath County Council and the EPA.  Ann Dillon Gallagher Cathaoirleach of Meath County Council will officially open the site and present Master Composter volunteers with their certificates.
Sonairte will be holding a traditional food and craft fair from 10am-5pm on the 17th of April, so why not come along early and enjoy the local food and crafts on display, browse Sonairte's gardens, visit the eco-shop or stop and have a cup of tea in the Mustard Seed Cáfe.   From 2pm, once the Master Compost demonstration site has being officially opened at 1pm, the Master Composter volunteers will be on hand to explain the variety of compost systems available and answer any questions.
There is something for everyone at Sonairte on the 17th of April.
