We are hosting the Cork exhibition of the Irish Satellite Reef, launching on the 6th April to coincide with environ at UCC (www.esaiweb.org) for 3 months.  It is hoped that we will be able to provide schools of all ages the opportunity to explore and learn about Hyperbolic Geometry, Marine Ecology, and Climate Change using crochet as a learning tool during this time.

I am seeking funding to ensure the project is a success and i am also looking for volunteers, experts in these diverse areas as well as a contact base for primary and secondary schools in  the region.  We would also be grateful if someone could help promote this wonderful project.
We are interested in exploring the craft side as well considering 2011 is the year of craft as well as being the year of chemistry and are planning a series of public workshops on practical hyperbolic crochet.  Mary Conroy has initiated this with her current classes on traditional craftskills.
If you are interested in getting involved please do not hesitate to get in contact.
Kind Regards
