EPA National Research Conference 2010 - 'Science into Action for a Sustainable Ireland', 23rd June 2010 in Croke Park Conference Centre
As Ireland works towards economic recovery, there is a determination that future development is sustainable. This conference will highlight the knowledge developed under EPA-funded research and demonstrate its application to delivering a sustainable Ireland.
Following opening addresses from John Gormley, Minister for Environment, Heritage and Local Government; Dr Mary Kelly, EPA Director General, a keynote address on 'Science into Action for a Sustainable Ireland' will set the conference theme. A series of parallel sessions will then examine key environmental issues in the context of a sustainable future:
· Planning for a New Ireland
· Protecting our Natural Resources
· Emerging Environment and Health Issues
· Advances in Water and Wastewater Management
· Research Supporting Better Regulation
· Greening Irish Enterprise
This programme will be complemented by flash presentations and poster displays to further showcase ongoing work.
